Lance Winslow recently won his settlement with the Federal Trade Commission.   Lance is the first franchisor in the history of the Federal Trade Commission to receive a totally favorable settlement on an earnings claim case.  As a matter of fact, Lance and his attorney Jeff Compton of Zelle Hofmann Voelbel & Gette (covering Los Angeles, Boston, Dallas, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Beijing, and Shanghai) wrote their own settlement after refusing the Commissions' draft.

The original complaint came from a group of 4 defecting franchisees who became competitors.  The false testimony in declarations by the competitors lead the FTC to believe that there may have been improprieties.  As soon as the FTC advised Mr. Winslow of the in-depth investigation launched, Mr. Winslow immediately drove to Washington D.C., traveling 5 states in two days, to discuss the complaint with the FTC.

Here is a picture of the "Blitz Mobile", a 68 ft. mobile command center, parked on the sidewalk of their 600 Pennsylvania Avenue office in Washington D.C.  After the case was settled, Mr. Winslow found no available parking for this corporate offices.  A police officer came by, assuming we were hired to wash the building and said; "It's about time someone cleaned that building" and then drove off.

Lance, and his family, have always been extremely patriotic.   His ancestors came over on the Mayflower, were at the Boston Tea Party, and noted for having had Betsy Ross marry into the family tree.  Lance's father was a famous naval aviator and his grandfather a nuclear physicist (helping with many government top secret projects).  Both served this country with their abilities and talents.   These values were instilled in Lance at a very young age.  Being an entrepreneur, Lance has always been a strong advocate of competition in a free market system.  He is also an advocate for the government dropping the Microsoft case, which was brought on by competitors against Bill Gates

Here is a picture of Lance standing by the horse, which represents business, cheering it on against the confines of government bureaucracy.   Lately, this bureaucracy has become a cog in the wheel, hurting U.S. companies in their fight to compete in the global economy.

Lance pledges himself to the cause to prevent government intervention from competitors in the development of entrepreneurs.  That government intervention plagues the Friedman economic model.  He is planning to thoroughly evoke his amendment right and build a huge website to discuss abuses he feels are being made with FTC enforcement.  He later plans to add to the site discussions of the SEC, FCC, IRS, INS, and DOT enforcement.  How their mistakes and lack of due diligence effects the very freedoms they claim to protect.

It is time and has always been time to keep this great nation #1 in the world and never lose sight of the fact that our government is owned by us!   With that great privilege comes great responsibility.

"We must question authority."  We must keep America the great nation that our ancestors fought and died for.  Freedom has come at such a high price, we cannot turn our back on those who have fought and died for the privilege.
